We are now working on the High Holidays and using our Shanah Tovah books. We are discussing the concepts of forgiveness and the meaning of a fast day. We talked about the Kol Nidrei- the beautiful part of the service of Yom Kippur. The children heard the story that is being read on Yom Kippur : :"Yonah And The People Of Ninivah . We practiced an old ritual called "Kaparot", using a dollar bill and recited the appropriate words.The money will go toward tzdakah. In Hebrew class, we are about to finish the letter Bet.
